companionship

Carpe Diem #677, companionship

"A friend is a present you  give yourself."
~Friendship Quotes by Robert Louis Stevenson

There are those in this world that are made for being friends.  Good, dear friends.  They are wired for caring, sharing, encouraging, scolding, lending a hand when needed.  Sometimes the hardest part of being a good, dear friend is allowing the other half of the equation to do the same for them.  To be the receiver instead of the giver.  The loved instead of the one loving.
Studies show that people with companions, close friends and shall we say comrades are healthier.  We humans are happier when sharing this creation's joys with others.  The hug from a friend can bring comfort in dark times and pleasure in times of happiness.  The fun of a day sharing retail therapy with a bunch of companions is as the commercial says, 'priceless'.
