New Carpe Diem special feature

Many folks in the Carpe Diem Haiku Kai group are persons for whom English is a second language.  Our talented and inventive host has created yet another opportunity for the group to express their themselves.  This time it is to be in their native language.  Well, guess you will have to settle with native Texan from The Rock Lady.

a wolf howls
does the quail understand
the wild call

a cold wind blows
nothing but a barbed wire fence
shields the plains from snow

the preparations
for a day of family fun
fixin' to go

brewed tea
sweetness from a thousand canes
poured over ice
