Only In Texas

Carpe Diem #723 buying a cookie

As noted before each day there is a routine to life.  Wake up, think it is okay to continue to sleep as retired folks have few commitments.  At once the bladder reminds one of a very important job, keeping one's self dry.  Therefore, one hauls the body out of bed and the day begins. Some days one dresses immediately while other days pj's are the dress of the day.  The next task is to walk or hobble depending on the weather and arthritic joints into the kitchen.  Caffeine of some sort is to be ingested.  Once the eyes are sufficiently open and focused, the laptop is started.

A devotional routine is next on the list.  At least that is the intent.  If the notification circle in the right hand corner of Chrome is red, there is a 'need' to check what was said. Back to the first devotional item which is a calendar to use as a prompt for prayers for legislators.  There is, also, a business type, region or professionals to be a part of the prayer.

This particular day in reading the business type the room filled with giggles.  There previously had been parks, schools, churches, blackland prairies, etc.  Today was just three simple letters.  It must be said by a native Texas that no where else on earth would one be guided to pray for BBQ.  Only in Texas.......
