It seems a shame to grow older for one reason, the inability to run fast enough to catch lighting bugs.  That's what they were called by the kids in the farming community, lighting bugs.  Flies were either the bugs that were on the cow piles in the pasture or bugged you at the dinner table.  Or it could be what the really strong kids were able to hit when playing baseball at recess.  No, they were lightning bugs and much faster than knees will run these days.
